As I was finishing writing my las entry, I stumbled across yet another Facebook post about inspiration. It’s like things are falling into place when they are needed. I could relate the comment about the rusty trailer and the $500 horse. That’s where I am. But one thing I have lots of is dreams. I’m rich in them and I keep having new ones as some come alive. That rusty trailer was one of them. I worked hard years to be able to make this happen and I’m proud of it. It has allowed me to do a whole lot of thing that I had on my bucket list in 2021 and I was even able to help others tick boxes off their lists. It fills my heart that because I made one dream of mine come true that I was able to help others with it.
As I take a good look on my vision board, I can see that 85% of it is complete. I use that vision board to keep my dreams alive. It’s also a great reminder that it’s not all doom and gloom. I can remember clearly the day I put a picture of a truck and a trailer on that board. I only had one working vehicle at the time and in no way I was believing that it would happen anytime soon. But because I though it impossible at the time it didn’t mean never. Well, through hard work and dedication to that one dream, came an old trusty truck and a trailer. Trust me, it didn’t happen overnight. It took me five years and the right opportunities to get there.
I have come to learn that the right opportunities presents themselves with the right timing and the right hard work. It’s not all pink and candies to get there but it eventually if it’s the right thing, if it makes your heart beat, no dreams are too big in my opinion. I also find that the more I work at something the more I enjoy it once it becomes reality. As an example, every time I take my rig out either to transport a horse or to go get hay, I feel lots of pride. It’s mine, all mine to enjoy. The fruit of hard labor and commitment to a dream I had. The picture above on the board has yet to be happening but it’s darn close to it. I don’t see why I couldn’t take two of my horses to pack this coming summer. A quote I like a lot is by Abraham Hicks. It says :” Don’t talk yourself out of wanting something, just because you haven’t figured out how to get it yet.” That was me and that truck and trailer five years ago.
Here’s the post I have found inspiring about those big dreams.
Who do you think YOU are? Dreaming too big for what you’re capable of. Yes, you. With your rusty old bumper pull, your $500 horse, and your 3 part time jobs…
You think you can visualize yourself running down that Thomas and Mack alley or competing in the NRCHA snaffle bit futurity? The arena where tears of victory are shed, next to the parking lot where gazillion dollar rigs are parked? You think the announcer would ever holler your name into the mic during a performance?
You know; your horse is too slow, your truck is too old, your funds are too low, your arena is too muddy, and your goals are too big.
Your family is too tired, your time is too limited, your work schedule too unforgiving, and your heart is too hopeful.
Who would ever think that YOU could be capable of reaching your dreams with a situation like YOURS?
Wait…I think I know a few people.
Scamper was from a feedlot. Fallon broke her neck. Vickie Carter was a 60 year old rookie. Sherry lost her husband. Taylor Jacob lost her home. And you are probably among them because you’ve lost your mind; thinking you CAN’T.
Because these women…lost it all too. They turned their can’ts into cans and dream into plans. They turned regrettable situations into remarkable recovery. They turned down barrels into darn buckles. They turned failure into freedom.
So who you do you think you are? Dreaming too big, with eyes too wide and a mind too imaginative. A champion?
Only if you want to be.
That’s all it takes. To believe you can. After losing everything and feeling like you have nothing. Believing. YOU. can.
So go ahead girlfriend…I know what you are working with, and it’s probably not a whole lot. But winners believe they can go big with what little they have. And losers think they can’t because of how much they don’t have.
Get on your horse. Study up. Saddle up. Cowgirl Up. Do you.
Because champions aren’t born, and they aren’t made by someone else. They just believe in themselves.
Sincerely,
Someone who knew you could do it the whole time!

I think Kathleen got that right. Go after your dreams. It’s not an easy journey. Having an hard time staying positive and having faith over what can be, I know how it’s like to think that the dream is too big and that I can never get there. Today, I choose to silence this voice. Today, I choose to dream even bigger. Heck, I just added a nice small quaint house and a big cozy barn to my vision board. And guess what, I also started a second vision board. When I said that 85% of my first board was completed, it also meant that there’s no room for more dreams. Well, it didn’t mean I couldn’t start a new one. I would have never thought this possible a few years back when I made the first board. And here I am, a second one on the go. I even made the pictures smaller! Making more room for more stuff.
What are you dreaming about?
Get out there and dream on, no dream is too big and not worth pursuing. There’s going to be people out there that are going to tell you that it’s impossible but only you know what it possible and what you want and what you are capable of. Go rock your dreams! I know you can do it.
